Finish carpentry in Fort Myers
Trim, crown, doors, built-ins, and the exterior fascia line — finished at eye level by a focused crew that measures its work in tight joints and even reveals, not jobs per week.
A finish carpenter for Fort Myers homes
Banyan Carpentry Co. is a Fort Myers finish carpentry shop. We do the work that decides how a room actually feels — the crown that ties the ceiling to the wall, the door that closes with a soft, even latch, the baseboard that runs dead straight across a wall that is anything but.
The estimate comes from the craftsman who does the work. He walks your rooms, takes the measurements, and writes the quote — then cuts and fits every piece himself. There is no commission layer between you and the saw.
What we do
- Crown molding and trim — coped joints, tight miters, even reveals, no gaps hidden under caulk.
- Interior doors — hung plumb and true, so they close and latch the way they should.
- Baseboards and casing — full-house trim packages that pull a home together.
- Built-ins and closets — designed and built around your actual walls.
- Coffered ceilings and wainscoting — detail work that changes the character of a room.
- Fascia and exterior trim — the finish carpentry Florida weather tests first.
Scribed to fit, not caulked to hide
Florida walls are never straight — settling, block construction, and humidity all conspire against a level line. A real finish carpenter fits the wood to the wall, scribing each piece to the surface instead of running a fat bead of caulk to cover the gap. It takes longer. It is the difference you feel every day you live with it.
An engineer's standard
Banyan is owned by an Army Engineer Officer with a Darden MBA and a Master's in Civil Engineering in progress. We run the company the way engineers build: to spec, to schedule, and right the first time. It is also why we carry a building contractor's license (CBC1270165) that finish work rarely requires — if a project grows, it can't outgrow us.
For everything we do across the city — from historic McGregor homes to new builds, Fort Myers Beach, and North Fort Myers — see our Fort Myers carpenter page.
Good to know
What counts as finish carpentry?
Finish carpentry is the visible woodwork in a finished home — trim, crown molding, baseboards, casing, interior doors, built-ins, wainscoting, and coffered ceilings, plus exterior trim like fascia. It is the work you see at eye level, where the joints and reveals either look right or they do not.
What if my project grows mid-stream?
And because Banyan is run by a Florida Certified Building Contractor (CBC1270165), your project can grow mid-stream without ever changing hands — built-ins can become a full room. The project can not outgrow us.
Who shows up to quote the job?
The carpenter who does the work walks the job and writes the estimate — and he is the one who builds it. You are never handed off from a salesperson to a crew you have not met.
What areas around Fort Myers do you serve?
We are based on Alico Center Road in Fort Myers and work throughout Lee, Collier, and Charlotte County — Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Estero, Bonita Springs, Naples, and up to Babcock Ranch.
